Among those comments, was one from a very nice woman, telling me about some paddles she and her hubby make from a tree on their property. Basically it was a pretty special tree, and they wanted to find a way to keep the tree alive. Personally, I think making paddles from it is an awesome, not to mention, very unique, way to keep the tree going. :)
So I checked out a few of the paddles, and had a hard time deciding which one to order, but Colin and I decided (after going back and forth for like an hour!) to get one that stuck out the most to us. It's not just any ordinary old paddle, but it's like a mood ring .. for your butt. :) How sweet is that?
The ones they have so far, come with either a heart that changes colors, or an exclamation point. They're both super cute, but i'm a sucker for hearts, so we went with the heart one. We even got a letter with the meanings of each of the colors. Honestly, this thing and the whole concept is really unique and original. I love it!

| The heart at it's "normal" setting at the bottom, and at the top is the reddish-brown color, which means Sassy. I'd say that fits the bill pretty well. :)
Shipping was very fast, the sellers were super super sweet, and seem like very genuine, nice people, and that honestly made it so much better. I was put at ease about getting a paddle in the mail, and really felt safe going through the whole process.

So, getting to the juicy stuff! Colin decided to try out the paddle last night, since I was due a punishment spanking. I was excited to try out the paddle, but NOT excited for the punishment.
I got a warm up, with his hand, over his knee. Although i'm not sure i'd call it a warm up because he went straight to bare bottom! Didn't even get a couple swats over my pants first! Mean, mean, mean. :p
So after a couple minutes with his hand, he went to grab for something and I knew he was about to use the paddle. He started off with a few light smacks, testing it out, and after a few swats, he got the rhythm down and all he heard from me, was, "Ouuuuch. That stings!! Ok, ok, im sorrrryyy!"
At one point, it started to really sting, so I blurted out, "Babeee WHAT are you doingggg?" His response?
"Spanking you! THAT's what i'm doing."

That little paddle packs a punch! I'd classify it as stingy over thuddy, and it's a little bit loud because of the stinginess, but not overly loud by any means. I mean, at this point, I figure our neighbors must have heard something in the year we've lived here, so if they know, they know. (I still hope they don't though!)
Oh, did I mention I was a little bit sunburned?! So the spanking hurt even more! I have to say, when I told Colin I was going tanning earlier that day, he reminded me I had a spanking coming so to go easy on the tanning. Did I listen? Um, nope. Do I wish I had? YUP!
So what do I think of the paddle? I really like it! I mean, it can sting like crazy when it needs to, but I also think it could be used for a fun spanking as well. One implement, that can either be for good girl spankings, or the not so good girl spankings.
Colin loved it. He thought it was the perfect amount of sting, judging by my reactions, but what he really loved was how it was pretty much all in the wrist. I've mentioned before, he has some shoulder issues, so implements where he mainly uses his wrist, are good for us. He loved the fact that with just the flick of his wrist, he could get me apologizing and promising to be good!
