What a spanko hears.

"You're going to get it now." Whoa, what did that person just say? This has happened to me a few times, where i'll hear something on tv, or i'll hear a random conversation and they'll say something that is totally normal/vanilla, but in my mind it screams out "Spanking." Or "TTWD/DD." It's funny because Colin has started doing it lately too. We were watching a show the other night and they said the word discipline. It had nothing to do with the discipline WE think of, but he automatically turned to me and nudged me a bit and then laughed. I think it's funny how we can hear something perfectly normal, yet in our minds it's something DD related, so I thought i'd put together a few examples.

The saying.  What spankos hear.  What it really means.

We'll deal with this later. You'll be over my knee when we get home. I don't want to fight, so we'll talk later.

I'm a little tied up at the moment. Someone is literally TIED UP. Someone's pretty busy at work right now.

I'm going to beat you.  They're going to beat that person with a belt! They're going to beat that person at scrabble during game night.

I need a new hairbrush. They broke their hairbrush when spanking someone. They can't find their hairbrush to brush their hair.

It hurts to sit down!  Oooh, they definitely got spanked hard! They broke their tailbone during a fall, so it hurts to sit.

A hairbrush with the slogan "ouchless." Hm maybe it doesn't hurt as bad as the brush he uses to spank me with.  It gets the tangles out without hurting!

My switch is broken. They broke the switch over someones butt during a spanking! They keep turning their switch on/off and the light just doesn't work.

A belt just lying there. Someone took their belt off after work. SPANKING.WITH.A.BELT. simple as that.

That's all I can think of for now, anyone else have any? Anything you've heard or seem that is most likely perfectly 'normal,' yet all you can think of is spanking or DD?

Oh and I have to add, because Colin is just .. mean.  I got maintenance the other day and since it ended up being a little more than maintenance, Colin thought it was a good idea to have me add a picture post-maintenance to add to the punishment a bit. Another picture i'm going to add is of a truck that was in front of us the other day. We were driving, talking about spanking and DD actually, and all of a sudden I notice this bumper sticker on the truck, which of course we both found pretty amusing. :)

  1. I know what you mean, there's so much I see or hear that seems to be DD related, but I know it's not. My H lately, sees things and wonders if he could use it as a spanking implement and then gives me that devilish laugh!

Loved the posts, and you are right, I try not to think spanko when out with my kids, but sometimes it is just so hard.

  4. So true Kenzie. I really enjoyed reading your post.

How about: we need to have a conversation. My wife uses that one a lot, but no spanking.

    Thanks for the photo.

    1. Haha, those two are great! If I worked at a hardware store and someone asked me where the rope was, i'd automatically think kinky .. nothing vanilla would even cross my mind.

    1. That's funny, i've never thought that before, but I can so see how that could be taken as someone being in trouble. :)

  7. Oh we hear this stuff all the time! Bossman is hilarious about it. He'll whisper inappropriate things in my ear when he hears it, usually something to make me laugh out loud, calling attention to the fact that we noticed it. And he says I'M the brat... tsk tsk!

  8. Haha so funny you posted this! I was just thinking about this stuff today.I notice how often I look at regular everyday items and think, "hhmmm I wonder what a spanking with that would feel like?" Or I see the word "submit" when I'm at work, and mind is instantly thinking, "of course I'll submit" lol

  10. Yes we sneer at each other when we hear or notice certain things. We also look at other couples and guess who's the Dom vs. Sub or wonder if they are into the same things we are.

  11. I definitely have a lot of double takes when I hear or see some things. Generally there is nothing to it but sometimes I have to wonder.. lol

  13. Haha, love these. I definitely have spanko vision and hear things differently all the time. "We have something to discuss" is always a warning that makes me nervous.
