Liebster Award - Thank You!

I've had fun learning some new stuff about other bloggers who posted Liebster Award blog entries, and I got nominated by two awesome bloggers, so I thought it'd be fun to participate. A big thank you to BigD lils and to Dana for the nomination. You're both so sweet. :)

Here are Dana's questions:

1.  How did you and your spouse/significant other meet? We met in high school through a mutual friend. We became good friends and it just kind of evolved from there. :)

2.  How is your favorite way to travel? Road trips! It drives Colin crazy, but I loove road trips.

3.  Spanko or Spankno? SpankO for sure.

4.  Do  you like to read? And if so, what kinds of books? I love to read. I'd say my favorites are mysteries and spanking books!

5.  Do you enjoy camping?  And if so, what is your idea of "roughing it"  (tent, camper, cabin, black and white TV?) I love camping, but I do not rough it! I'm a big baby and am afraid of every noise I hear, so I usually end up sleeping in a car! 

6.  If you could meet any one person who would it be and why? Hmm.. first person that comes to my mind is Matt Bomer. Because .. well .. he's Matt Freakin' Bomer. 

7.  Dog or a cat person? Both! Love animals.

8.  What flavor ice cream do you hate? Vanilla... too boring for my tastes. ;)

9.  Did you bring this lifestyle to your mate or was it the other way around? I brought it to him.

10.  Name one thing besides spanking that if people knew about you would be shocking? Hmm. That's a tough one. I can't think of anything right now, but when I do I'll make sure to edit this answer. :)

11.  How old were you when you got your first kiss? Middle school was my first REAL kiss.

1.If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be? Hmm.. there are a few places. My first choice would probably be Australia. Italy and Ireland are close though!

2. If you could meet anyone on blogland who would it be and why? I cant pick just one! I've had the pleasure of meeting some great people from blogland who have turned into awesome friends, so if I got the opportunity to meet anyone from here, I'd definitely take it. :)

3. Favorite implement to use or receive? I think my favorite would be his hand.

4. Would you trade places with your significant other for 24 hours? (I.e. your Dom and she's Sub, you do the opposite for a day all rules included) Hmm.. As tempting as that sounds, and as much fun as I'd have with that.. I can't see our roles being reversed, so no.

5.  What made you realize this lifestyle was for you? I wish I had that answer! Lol, I just craved accountability and structure, and it was something I thought would be really good for not only me, but Colin as well.

6. Favorite kink? Spanking!

8. Craziest place you've ever had sex? There hasn't been anywhere too crazy.. we need to expand our list soon. ;) I guess in a hotel hot tub, outside at night time after it was closed. Oops. ;)

Seems like I should give some profound answer here, but I'm not a big history person, and I'd have to go with someone fun - I've said Matt Bomer before, but I'd also LOOOVE to meet Matthew Perry. Ever since I was little I've thought he was the funniest person there was.

Some (hopefully) new spanking questions!

I love all the spanking surveys that there are out there, especially when I want to write in the blog, but I don't have all that much to write about in the moment.

That being said, i've done a few of the surveys i've found floating around in blog land, and when I just did a search to see if there were any fun ones I hadn't done, I couldn't really find any. So, that brings me to this post. I'm going to try and create my own survey. I'm sure some of the questions will be similar to questions you've seen on other surveys, but i'm going to try my best to come up with some different/new ones. *Also, thanks to Riley for a couple of the question ideas!*

Hopefully some people will like what they see and repost this survey on their blogs, with their answers!

1.) Was there a certain event from your life, that sparked the spanking interest? If so, feel free to share: 

I can't pinpoint my interest in spanking to any specific incident, but I know it started at a pretty early age!

2.) What do you most often call your HOH/Spanker? (Sir, Master, etc.)

Most of the time, I use Sir.

3.) What does your HOH/Spanker most often call you? (Young Lady, Girl, etc)

Oh he has a few "terms of endearment." Young lady, my pet, and brat are the three most common I think.

4.) We're building a big spanko bonfire, which one implement are you bringing to toss in?

I have to give a little thought to this one to make sure I pick the right implement! Hmm, I think i'd go with our wooden paddle!

5.) We all know how many punishments there are to choose from; spanking, lecturing, corner time, etc.. but what about rewards? Do you have a favorite 'reward' that is used? If not, what's something you'd like used as a reward?

He's used a get out of spanking card before as a reward, but I think my favorite reward is a massage.

6.) What's that one phrase, that when it's used, you know you're in trouble?

"That's it!" Accompanied by the look, and him going to get an implement. There's no turning back at that point. Short, sweet, and to the point.

7.) What's something you'd like to cross off your spanking bucket list? Being shy is not an option here people. ;)

I'll go with, getting spanked in front of someone else.

8.) Someone comes to you, and says they just started practicing domestic discipline. What's the biggest piece of advice you can give them?

Be PATIENT! Things aren't going to go as you envision them overnight. Actually, they probably will never be 100 percent like you envision it. Go with the flow, make DD about what fits you best as a couple - and have fun with it!

9.) Where is the craziest place you've been spanked?

I don't have a great answer for this one .. hmm, probably pulled over at a park and ride?

10.) We talked about a spanking bucket list, now let's get a little more into it.. what about a BDSM style bucket list? What's something you'd like to cross off of that?

Okay, i'll get a little personal here - maybe some sort of orgasm denial type stuff? Sorry if that's TMI, readers. ;)

11.) Is there a punishment you thought you'd never try, but ended up trying and finding effective?

We always thought being sent to the bedroom by myself, would be pointless. We've tried it a few times lately, and it's actually very effective.

12.) What is something you wish you knew before you started DD/TTWD?

I'd probably say that it was going to be tough. Extremely tough at times. It's totally worth it so far though. 

13.) If you could take a break from one rule, for one week, which rule would it be?

Him being on my butt about cursing!

14.) This might sound like a no brainer at first, but really think about it. If you could only have one sort of spanking in your dynamic, would you rather it be discipline or fun?

Honestly, i'd rather discipline spankings if I had to pick just one. I'd miss the fun, playful ones, so that's not an easy answer, but i'll stick with my gut and say i'd rather stick with discipline.

15.) If your HOH/Spanker messed up, and offered to let you spank them, would you? Why/Why not?

As much as I love the idea of that, I don't think I could. I'm not "toppy," at all, and i'd honestly laugh the whole entire time.

16.) What is your favorite form of aftercare?

Him playing with my hair. Me looking up at him, while he plays with my hair and cuddles with me. Best feeling in the world.

17.) How was DD/spanking brought up to you, or how did you bring it up to your partner?

I brought it up to him, very slowly. I started off dropping hints about fun, sexual type spankings, and then one day, years into our relationship, finally got the courage to tell him more about DD/Ds type stuff.

I don't know if i'm right or not on this one, but I think he'd pick the strap. Or maybe the wooden paddle?

I can be a bit... feisty, so if i'm in a particular cheeky kinda mood, and I know i'm going to be getting a spanking, i'd probably put on my panties that say, "Naughty Girl." Always fun to get a little laugh out of him. :)

You don't always have to worry about me when it comes to spanking/punishment. I can take it. In fact, I need to be pushed a bit for it to really be effective. Don't be afraid to mean business. ;)

I saw a post over on Julia's Blog where she answered questions about DH.  I thought it was a very cute idea, so I decided to do one too.. I found a different survey though, it seems a bit long, so if you just want to skim through, I won't take offense. :)  I'm also going to try and get Colin to give his answers, so hopefully he'll do that and i'll be able to post that another day.  Feel free to use it on your blogs also, i'd love to read everyone else's answers.

1. What is your partner’s idea of romance?  
He's pretty traditional romantic.  Candles, flower petals, bubble baths - he's cute. :)
She's pretty much the same way, she likes the whole storybook/fairytale type romance.

2. What is your partner’s favorite nickname?  
For me?  He calls me "my pet."  His favorite nickname that I call him? I think he likes hunni the best .. or these days, he's pretty fond of Sir.
Her favorite nickname to call me is hunni.  Her favorite nickname that I call her, would be either my pet, sweetie, or cutie.

3. What time of day does your partner prefer to make love?  
The time of the day doesn't matter to him.
She likes night time the best.

4. What is your partner’s vision of a perfect date?  
Something fun - go carts and mini golf, or a football game.  Something like that.
Her perfect date would be going to a mets vs yankees game, and having the mets win.  (But we know that wouldn't be the case.)

5. What part of his/her body is your partner most insecure about? 
 I'm not sure, I love it all though.
 She doesn't like her arms for some reason, but I don't see why.  To me, she's beautiful.

Another threesome.

Non alcoholic?  Gatorade or Root Beer/Dr Pepper.  Alcoholic?  He likes the girly frozen drinks.  Sorry hun, but it's true. :)
She loves tomato juice for non alcoholic, and for alcoholic she likes moscatto wine.

10. What is your partner’s least favorite food? 
 Seafood.

Feelings

1. What is your partner currently most excited about? 
 I'd say the fact that TTWD/DD seems to be going great this time around - and also the fact that we'll be in Disney World in TWO WEEKS! Yay.  Okay, maybe i'm more excited than him - especially since i'll be dragging his butt on rides!
Me being more dominant and consistent.  And obviously she's excited for disney and to celebrate her birthday while were there. ;)

2. What is your partner currently most sad about?  
Financial issues.
Not having enough clothes to take with her to Disney.  Seriously though, the financial stuff as well.

3. What health concerns is your partner most worried about?  
His shoulder. :(  But hopefully it'll be all better soon!
She's healthy as a horse.
Babe, i'm not sure if that's how the saying goes.

4. How does your partner express happiness, sadness, worry and anger?  
He's pretty good with just talking about how he's feeling - I think he knows he can always come to me and let it all out, so he's a good communicator when it comes to that stuff.
She tends to keep sadness in a little bit, until I ask about it, she wears her emotions on her sleeves so it's not hard to tell.  Happiness she gets giggly and she's a prankster, which I can't stand.  Worry, she worries about everything and needs to relax, and anger she's doing much better with, luckily for her. ;)

5. What is your partner’s most embarrassing moment?  
Hmm, I don't think he gets embarrassed very easily -  and if I said the moment I actually have in my head, my butt would never be white again - so i'll plead the fifth here.
Hers would probably be when we were staying at a hotel and she ended up over my knee.  It was a little loud, so next thing we know there's a knock on the door, and the neighbor asked us to keep it down.  She was of course, hiding in the bathroom.

6. How does your partner blow off steam?  
Video games.  We've always both been working on going to the gym lately when we need to blow off steam.
Trying to get her to start doing kickboxing because I think that'd be the best way.  In the meantime she usually talks to me, which is fine too.

7. What are some major events coming up in your partner’s life and how does he/she feel about them?  
There's not any major ones right now .. he's turning 27 semi soon though, geez can't believe he's almost 30. :p
Disney, and she's going to be 25 soon.  (Old lady.)
Babeee!  No i'm not.  Im going to turn 24 .. again. :)

8. What is your partner’s biggest fear? 
 Death/Losing people.
Death, losing someone, and airplane rides.  Not to mention, aliens and E.T. being in the bedroom closet (now since I said that, i'll have to check before we go to sleep.)

9. What are the two most stressful events your partner has been through?  
Losing someone close to him, and probably when shit hit the fan regarding families and wedding plans and we thought for a little bit that the wedding wasn't going to be able to happen.
Losing her grandfather and the whole wedding thing she mentioned.

10. What makes your partner truly happy?  
Well ... me. :)  Kidding.  Family, friends, when his football team wins, and hopefully being with his wife. :)
How much we love each other, and how even when we think we can't get any closer, we somehow do.  Having a loving and caring family she can always turn to no matter what.

Kenzie's Section (Spanking.)

1.) What does your partner like the most about spanking (as discipline?)  
I'd say he likes being in charge.  He likes the fact that we can use spanking and have the situation be over with, rather than getting in a long drawn out fight.
Me being in charge, and the feeling afterwards.

2.) What does your partner like the least about spanking (as discipline?)  
Probably the fact that he's not as confident with it as he wants to be yet.  Although, i'm not sure why he's not, but I do think he's getting pretty damn confident about it lately.
How it's still not that easy to fully let go, and the pain i'm sure.

3.) What's your partners favorite implement to use/be used?  
I think he likes using the paddle the best, or maybe the hairbrush?
My hand, but unfortunately for her she usually deserves more than that.

4.) How does your partner know the spanking has worked and that you're sorry? (If answering this question from a spankers point of view - What are some phrases/words that really get the spankee into that 'frame of mind' - things like young lady, that's it - go get the brush, etc) 
 I'd say he knows it's working and that i'm sorry when I start being very very compliant, or when i've just kind of 'let go' and accepted the spanking.

 I like he likes me lying over/on the bed the best.

To an extent yes.. I think it's more important for me, but he's been pretty good with lecturing lately.

I think lying, especially if it was about something serious.

 Hm, I think he'd say - lecturing during.  Making me answer questions about why im in that position.  And using the damn strap!

Back from our little mini vacation!  I do not like coming home to the cold weather, when it was mid 70's where we were, but I do like coming back to read the blogs. :)  I'll have to go catch up on all the blogs when i'm done writing this post.  Thankfully I have the day off, so I have some time.

Anyway, I figured i'd answer the last couple of questions from March since it's now April.. so here they are.

Bob asked some fun questions for Colin, and I was excited to hear his answers.

1.) What was your reaction when Kenzie told you she wanted a DD relationship?  It was exciting, but confusing at the same time, because I didn't know how to go about it since it was so new to me.

2.) What are some of your thoughts when you are doing a punishment spanking?  Some things I think about during that time, are the fact that she's finally submitting to me so I can be in charge.  I like the fact that she's listening and i'm able to give a punishment for what she did wrong, so that she'll learn.. sooner or later.

3.) How do you handle a situation when Kenzie refuses to get spanked?  This used to be a hard situation for us, but we're starting to figure it out.  If it's a situation where she's absolutely refusing to get in position, then i'll let her know that she needs to let go and submit if she wants this to work.  That usually gets her to realize that she wanted this, that I want this, and she usually changes her attitude pretty quickly.

1.) Do you have any dreams of what you'd like to be punished with?  Hmm, not really.  I think the strap is the most effective - but I also 'like' the hairbrush because it has that traditional feel to it in my opinion.

Does your relationship go into bed/is Colin also your master?  We don't use the term master, so in that sense no, but I would like it to extend into the bedroom as well.  He would too.  I think we're taking it slowly, and building up his confidence with the dom role, as well as my issue with just letting go/submitting, and then we're going to use it in the bedroom as well.

We're going to try and do boot camp this weekend, so we'll see how that goes.  I'm excited for it, but also nervous.  4 spankings a day? Yikes!  I asked Colin if we could skip that part, or maybe make it 2 or 3 ... but he wasn't buying it.  It'll definitely be four.  Ouch!
